The St. James Foundation
The Saint James Episcopal Church Foundation was created by the Vestry of St. James Church and was established in 1997.
The PURPOSE of the Foundation is to invest and grow the funds entrusted to it for the support of the religious purposes of St. James Church of Black Mountain, North Carolina.
The FUNCTION of the Foundation is to support special ministry programs of the Church, including charitable, scientific, educational, missionary and other religious purposes which the Trustees deem to be worthy causes; and to help fund capital improvements, renovations and expansion to the physical properties of the Church; and to ensure that all designated funds held by the Foundation are used for the purpose specified by the donors.
SUPPORT of the Foundation is a way for members and friends to demonstrate their commitment to the Church and its ministries.
GIFTS to the Foundation may be made as unrestricted grants or their use may be defined by the donor. You may contribute to the Foundation simply by writing a check to the St. James Episcopal Church Foundation, and mailing it to PO Box 1087, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
OTHER WAYS OF GIVING designed to grow the Foundation may be through stocks, bonds, securities, annuities, real estate, insurance policy beneficiary, trusts and bequests through estate planning documents. These methods may have certain tax advantages.
Arrangements may be made for the donor to have the use of or the income from their gifts during their lifetime. A gift to the St. James Foundation will continue assist many others throughout the lifetime of the Foundation.
