The St. James community of faith offers many opportunities to serve.Our approach to service at St. James is one of mutual ministry, whereby all are encouraged to descern and fulfill the work of grace and love to whichour Lord calls us.

EASY WAYS TO GET CONNECTED

1. Join us on Sunday! Get to know the people and veiws of our church family by watching and listening. You are welcomed with a big smile by our Greeters and Ushers on Sunday mornings, and the Clergy and Vestry Members are always available to answer your questions.

2. Take a Class! A wealth of classes are offered at St. James. Avenues of exploration, deepening our knowledge of Jesus Christ are: Adult Forum (Sundays at 9:15am), Sojourners (for new members), Spiritual Gifts and Talents (a workshop to help members find their special spiritual gifts), and Thursday Bible Study.

3. Help out! St. James has an active group of lay ministers every Sunday from readers to ushers to coffee hour set-up. We also have a wealth of opportunities available throughout the week and with our various outreach programs. You will always be greeted with a smile here when you volunteer!

4. Find your ministry! There are so many diverse ways to contribute to our St. James family and to the community as a whole. Ministries at St. James include Outreach, Inreach, Children and Families, Adult Spiritual Formation, Middle School and Senior High Ministries, Building and Grounds maintenance, Communications, Music, Worship, Stewardship and Membership.

5.Children and Families! From volunteering in the nursery to accompaning the Sr. High youth on their annual outreach trip, St. James is very involved in our children and families ministry. There is always an opportunity to connect with other families who share similarities.
