The Rest of Our Lives

What a fantastic and inspiring week of celebration! We feasted on uplifting worship, sincere fellowship, rich memories, along with the bountiful and delicious food. We can only try to thank all the participants, and especially the leadership team for all their hard work. This has all reminded me of a beautiful wedding. There is so much planning, preparation and scheduling...then comes the big day. After the celebration, the newly married couple is forced to ask, “Now what?” And there’s no way to avoid the single answer: “The rest of our lives.” We’re facing that same answer after our Centennial Celebration. Now comes the rest of our lives together as a Christian family to grow in our love and knowledge of the Lord, and to love and serve one another. This Centennial Celebration, like a wedding, reminds us that our journey into the future is not undertaken alone. We have that great cloud of witnesses interceding on our behalf, encouraging us and abiding with our every task. Happy Birthday St. James, now let’s live each day for the rest of our lives for Love!
