The children of the church and their families recently celebrated Sunday Eucharist in the outdoors. Several parents shared now important it is to get their children outside where they can find simple joy in God's marvelous handiwork. Worshipping outdoors is also a great way for children to develop a passion for the environment and stewardship of God's glorious creation. Children and their families met at the Sanctuary trail in Montreat and participated in a short hike. Along the hike, they heard the scripture story and at the top of the trail gathered for a community homily, prayers, and sharing of the peace. Then, they hiked back to a pavilion by the resevoir and shared communion and a picnic lunch.
