St. James has a very active Youth Ministry which includes Middle School and High School youth groups who participate in parish youth events, parish intergenerational events, mission and outreach projects, and Diocesan youth events.
"Today it seems that we as parents and leaders in the church have the opportunity to strike a unique balance between home and church. We can reclaim the understanding that adult caregivers of children and youth are the primary guides in faith formation, and the congregation's role is to support the household in this journey by nurturing these adults in their own spiritual journeys and equipping them with the tools to guide their children. How all this unfolds will be unique to each household and each congregation, but it is vital for us to recognize the historical shifts without shame or guilt and then move into the awesome new opportunities before us" - Rev. Augusta Anderson, Rector for Children and Family Ministries
